When the shadows grow longer and the lanterns start to shine, “The Alley’s Lantern” is the perfect soundtrack. Ajana’s fourth album will create the ideal mood. Metal – from Doomy parts to blastbeats to Progressive elements – meets influences from beyond the genre and adds some “exotic” instruments and unconventional ideas as well as Ajana’s characteristic vocals.
Ajana (aka. Luise Markert) recorded all instruments and vocals for “The Alley’s Lantern” by herself and – as always, since the creation of her solo project in 2003 – wrote all the music and lyrics. The album will be self-released digitally by the artist via Bandcamp.
“The Alley’s Lantern” was mixed and mastered by Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studios Germany in 2021. As sound and imagery go hand in hand, Ajana portrayed her visions in the extensive booklet accompanying the album. Just a little help to start a movie in your head that goes with the soundtrack of the approaching night.
