Next Saturday 20th April 2024 the second edition of Ayala Underfest will be held in the town of La Línea de la Concepción, a meeting point in the province for the community of followers of Psychedelic Rock sounds. Free, open-access concerts, vinyl DJs and an 8-hour music market make up the programme.

This year’s programme includes bands like Loma Baja, who are visiting Andalusia for the first time to present their album “Piscinas Verticales,” a creative exercise that mixes styles like Post-Rock, Post-Punk and anything else that comes to mind for this super-group formed by members of Adrift, G.A.S. Drummers and El Páramo.

From Málaga, and also on their first visit to the Campo de Gibraltar, come The Silver Linings, with their debut album, “Pink Fish,” whose songs inevitably take the audience on a Psychedelic journey based on space and Krautrock with a marked seventies influence.

Saturna come from Barcelona and their live show is to take your hat off to. Their recent release “The Reset” was considered one of the most interesting national Hard Rock and Heavy Rock works of the last year. Regulars in the Campo de Gibraltar, they visit La Línea for the first time after several failed attempts.

Psychedelia adulterated with Andalusian Folklore is what Se Permiten Submarinos propose. The band from Huelva is presenting some of the songs that will be part of their next studio work.

From Barcelona comes James Vieco (lead singer of Saturna), who with just his prodigious voice and an acoustic guitar shows that sometimes simplicity is the key to everything. Songs with a strong nineties influence and some contemporary classics make up his repertoire.

The programme also includes the performance of Dj Ligre, who is in charge of livening up Calle López de Ayala with Soul, Blues, Indie, Electronic and Psychedelic sessions.

After a first edition held in December 2022 and in which nearly 400 people enjoyed a day full of music, this coming Saturday 20 April the event will start at 16h and will last until midnight. The concerts will be interspersed between TPOP and Tabanco Canaya, both located on Calle López de Ayala, where there will be vinyl DJs and a music market with the latest record releases and a selection of second-hand material by the local record label Spinda Records.
