Eclectic Progressive/Art Rock act Babal reveal the single “Radical‘ out and new album “Let’s Get Lucid” announced for November 18th via Melodic Revolution Records.
Capturing the angst of the 21st Century with Karen Langleyβs sharply observed lyrics, laced with the manically haunting guitars of Rob Williams and Jon Sharp on drums (plus guest musicians), BABAL deliver a thought provoking, barbed performance that defies categorization.
Babal reveal a dystopian, offbeat view of life; their cinematic, psych/art-rock approach calling up comparisons with Talking Heads , Zappa, Beefheart, Hendrix, Primus, Bent Knee and Patti Smith among many.
The band have gathered great responses around the UK and Europe and have also played live soundtracks for Alternative Cinema presentations.
Purchase and Stream “Radical” on Bandcamp:
Babalβs latest album release is perhaps their most fluid and fearless yet.
Their 9th album βLetβs Get Lucidβ explores encounters with alter-egos and inner conflicting personalities in some beautifully flowing βsongs.β
The reality is that these songs have evolved from Babal improvisations, strong with the sense of foreboding and eclectic themes which Babal have made their trademark.
The first 50 buyers of the CD will get a free copy of Babal‘s new live album “Life Is Always In the Wild” (available to buy separately from November 18th).
