Atlantea, the new project of TEN keyboard player Darrel Treece-Birch, has released a lyric video from their second single “What Price Is Life.” “What Price Is Life,” features singer Eoin De Paor and guitarist Alexandre Santos (Scar For Life). “Choices,” will be released on October 06 2023, via Lion Music Record Label. Watch the video through the YouTibe player below:
According to Darrel Treece-Birch:“What Price Is Life has had that working title since I first caught the melody on my friends KORG 01W f/d 26 years ago. A lot of my idea captures are a few minutes of verse/bridge/chorus/riff. Then I forget about it and stumbled across it years later. This was different, I wrote the entire tune, named the title and recorded a demo onto the keyboard. And there it remained…. During Covid I had a spurt of recording new ideas and relooking at old ideas lost in time. I just needed a lyric, but that wasn’t difficult as sadly some issues I had with the world then are the same, if not worse, now. Musically, I always liked the mood in the chord changes. Eoin’s vocal and Bass brought another colour as did Alex’s wonderful solo. I really hope it strikes a chord. I’m not preaching or dictating, it’s just how I see things.”
“Choices,” as a concept album, is about situations and about decisions we take or never make. It’s about questions and mysteries, our hopes and fears.
