Italian Progressive Rock band Nodo Gordiano published excerpt video from the suite “Kou” composed by Guidoni, taken from the album “H.E.X.” released via Lizard Records on December 15, 2021. Watch the official video through the YouTube player below:
Formed in 1994, Nodo Gordiano exhilarating brand of Experimental Rock have quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most peculiar acts to emerge from Rome independent scene. After two years of activity as a Progressive Rock cover band (specialized in the repertoires of King Crimson, Genesis and Banco), the project acquires a new awareness, deciding to concentrate its efforts in the search of a specific creative identity.
The group’s complex and dynamic sound along with their resonating live performances helped the band quickly rise to prominence in late 90s- Following the release of their self-titled album in 1999, they took to the road making appearences at multiple festivals playing along some of their heroes (John Wetton, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso) and promoting their own creations. Changing lineups album after album, with the constant presence and supervision of Andrea De Luca, and always trying to avoid stereotypes, their music sparked candid debate amongst critics; its diverse sound defies categorization while delivering a blend of aggressive or psychedelic attitude, emotive expression, progressive intellect and vintage flair.
2020 ends with the release of NG‘s fifth album “Sonnar” and they are still looking forward for a new horizon, with the extent of enriching the heritage of such a fascinating voyage.
