[News] Saudi Arabian Classic Rock artist Astro Lizard unveils details of debut album “On A Blue Moon”

Saudi Arabian Classic Rock artist Astro Lizard is proud to announce that its debut full-length is entitled “On A Blue Moon” and will be released on July 21, 2023 on all major digital platforms.

At over 45 minutes in length, “On A Blue Moon” borrows themes from traditional rock songs, merging them with space themes, both musically and lyrically, without necessarily sounding like Psychedelic Rock. In the album, escapism emerges as a key concept, where space is portrayed as the frontier in which to seek refuge, away from the problems, anguish and disappointment we experience on Earth. Despite this, however, the album remains positive and hopeful through its 11 tracks that sonically provide a groovy, bluesy and uplifting atmosphere.

Two lyric videos are available on YouTube. In “Between The Cracks,” a slightly Progressive riff gives way to an alienating refrain, while “Light The Wick” shakes our hearts with the beauty of the vocal lines.

Astro Lizard is a solo Rock project started in 2022 in Saudi Arabia by musician and composer Khaled C. Astro Lizard takes cues from timeless bands such as Blue Oyster Cult, Cream and The Doors to offer Classic Rock with Blues overtones, enriched with Atmospheric elements to sing about love and space through the eyes of the protagonist, the astronaut lizard.
