Vicarious is a power trio composed of Brad Williamson (bass/lead vocals), Colin Moser (guitar/vocals), and Zach Winton (drums). Each member has unique influences that they bring to the table, but the group shares inspiration from artists such as TesseracT, The Contortionist, Dream Theater, Breaking Benjamin, Chon and Meshuggah. All of these and more are present in Vicarious‘ gripping sound, crafted in a way that feels both familiar and completely new.
As a band, Vicarious formed nearly a decade ago in 2015 when the trio was still in high school. At the time, the band would play anything from school events to parties to local bars, and released an EP in 2016 that can be found on their BandCamp page. Following a brief hiatus while the three members went to separate colleges, Vicarious has now returned, more determined than ever to make their mark in the music world.
With their first full-length record set to release in January 2024, the three musicians set out to show the monumental growth that has occurred between this album and their previous releases. Between the clarity & power of its production, tasteful virtuosity of its performances, and beautifully Progressive songwriting, Vicarious believes that “Esoteria” is an anthemic Prog Metal record that will make for a memorable debut.
