Lisbon, Portugal based Instrumental Psychedelic Stoner/Doom trio Stones Of Babylon has unveiled a teaser video for the new track “Pazuzu,” to be released this on June 27, 2022. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
“Pazuzu” is the first advance track for Stones Of Babylon second album to be released in October 2022 via Raging Planet Records. “Pazuzu” is a deity of ancient Mesopotamia, portraited in Hollywoods “The Exorcist” and “The Heretic,” more a spirit than a devil, it brought the wind and plagues but he also was the protector of homes, specially mothers and women in general because “Pazuzu” would keep away evil spirits.
Says the band: “We pick up where we left with our debut album Hanging Gardens, following the path backwards in time to ancient mesopotamian history and myths. When middle eastern tunes meet crushing western riffage. Sonic mantras with heaviness and subtle sounds and ambiance.”
Portuguese band from the milennarian city Lisbon, plenty of cosmic inspiration, with one foot in the past, another in the future, the head in the present and the expanding soul, like the universe.
