“Havoc” is the new release from Venus Loon.
Featuring drummer Wolfgang Ostermann on all tracks, this album represents an intimate musical interplay of two geniuses at work. Peter‘s signature guitar tones sound particularly massive on this record; with each take carefully played and layered in with Ostermann‘s sublime drum parts.
This album consists of rich musical variety – what can only be described as an undeniably strong foundation in classic British Progressive Rock branches off into Psychedelic Fusion, Drone Rock, bits of Neo-Industrial Experimentation with intelligent sampling & vocal layering, as well as a heavier take on bluegrass and contemporary Folk music.
Best consumed as a whole, this package of 7 tracks is bold, unique, and acts as a great pair of lens through which one can effectively observe the evolution of progressive music through the years.
