“Valencia Mutante” is the first advance single from “Caracas,” Gambardella‘s third album, which will be released on 11 November on digital and vinyl. Watch the live performance of the track through the YouTube player below:
If you are one of the few people who still don’t know Gambardella, we could summarise very briefly what they do in that they are an instrumental trio with varied influences ranging from Jazz Rock, Psychedelia or North American Post-Hardcore to Dub, Soundtracks and Electronica. Gambardella experiment with an amalgam of Mediterranean, African, lysergic, improvised and forceful sounds.
During the months of confinement in 2020, Víctor, Jaime and Óscar kept the spirit of Gambardella active by exchanging home recordings… However, “Caracas” caught fire in the rehearsal room. Between April and June of that year, as a result of improvisation and the need to create live music, the songs included in the new album co-released by Spinda Records, Gandula, Error! Music and Aloud Music, as well as the band itself.
In addition, the single is accompanied by a video recorded live last September in Fabra i Coats (Barcelona), during an action of the cultural project Atles Sonor Meridiana, in which the group collaborated with the BitLab cooperative.
