And so, in no particular order, here’s what we have to look forward to next August –
RICHARD DIGANCE
Well to begin with, panic over folks! We’re pleased to announce that Richard Digance returns once more for his Saturday noon slot following his year off in Edinburgh. Welcome back Richard.
10cc
It is ten years since Graham and the band graced our stage and they are long overdue a return. Among the most inventive and influential bands in the history of popular music, 10cc are one of the few acts to have achieved commercial, critical and creative success in equal measure. 10cc will be headlining our Friday evening.
STRAWBS
When David Cousins announced a while back that due to ill health he would no longer be performing live, we thought we’d lost one of the most popular and successful live bands from the Folk/Rock circuit. Well not just yet. We are delighted to announce that David and Strawbs members, past and present, are reuniting at Cropredy for a truly memorable send-off. What a show this promises to be!
TOYAH AND ROBERT FRIPP
We had a sneak preview of Toyah and Robert this year during the Trevor Horn Band performance in August and their weekly “Sunday Lunch” online series became the ‘must-watch’ YouTube sensation of the lock-down era. We needed cheering up – and Toyah & Robert did not disappoint!
FISHERMAN’S FRIENDS
Thanks to the small film with a big heart that shares their name, the story of the original Cornish ‘buoy band’ is known around the world – bound by shared experience, for 40 years they have met on the Platt on the harbour to sing songs of the sea.
“And now we can’t wait to show the rest of the country what they’ve been missing” say MC and bass man Jon Cleave. “Singing is in our blood, almost as much as the sea.”
PEAT & DIESEL
Few bands can claim to have sold out 2 consecutive nights at Glasgow’s Barrowlands Ballroom – but count The Western Isles’ PEAT & DIESEL as one of them. Add that to the 7000 tickets sold on their debut tour and this trio is really going places!
MERRY HELL
No strangers to the Fringe just down the road in Cropredy village, we welcome the North West’s finest Folk/Rock band Merry Hell to the main stage. The band have just added fiddle player Simon Swarbrick to the line up, nephew of Dave Swarbrick – completing a circle as Swarb contributed a fiddle part to a track on Merry Hell’s second album.
WILSON & WAKEMAN
One of the biggest hits at Cropredy in recent years has been Wilson and Wakeman – not least for Damian’s inevitable audience walkabout! Great songs, beautifully performed.
BEANS ON TOAST
After 15 albums, countless concerts and umpteen requests for Beans on Toast over the years, finally, we’ve got him! Twisting an age-old genre with a D.I.Y. approach and contemporary concerns has earned him the title of a cult figure who tells it like it is.
JOSHUA BURNELL & BAND
We welcome Joshua Burnell and his band to Cropredy for the first time. With music ranging from stomping acoustic sing-alongs, Bowie-esque music hall epics and alt-pop singles, whilst keeping a sharp focus on the traditional themes, Joshua is fast carving out his own unique corer of the genre.
KIKI DEE and CARMELO LUGERI
Kiki and Carmelo have been playing together for over 25 years but 2018 saw a year of musical consolidation for the popular duo when Bob Harris wanted them as opening act for the re-booted Whistle Test and this turned out to be a seminal moment, leading to long overdue recognition and critical acclaim. As Kiki says: “We venture all over the place musically – and I’ve learnt to embrace it – our live shows are very eclectic.“
SOLSTICE
With the beguiling presence of new vocalist Jess Holland and following the release of 2020 album “Sia,” Solstice have become THE band to catch live this year. With a string of high profile festival appearances from Glastonbury to Milan, the band’s star continues its rapid ascendence.
MORGANWAY
Striking harmonies, energetic rhythms, catchy songs and a fiercely formidable live act – Morganway have made quite the impression on the UK’s rising Americana scene. Reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, they have been described by MAVERICK Magazine as “One if the best and most exciting prospects to emerge in a long time.”
THE YOUNG’UNS
It’s hard to believe that this is the first appearance at Cropredy for one of the folk scene’s most popular and enduring acts. Winners of three BBC RADIO 2 FOLK AWARDS, The Young’uns live shows are renowned – with heart-on-sleeve storytelling, beautiful lyrics, warm harmonies and relentless repartee.
GILBERT O’SULLIVAN
And finally, also joining us for the first time, a tremendous songwriter and performer whose songs have topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. Having garnered multi-Grammy Award nominations and been the recipient of “Songwriter of the Year “at the 18th Ivor Novello Awards, today, Gilbert O’Sullivan continues to be regarded with tremendous affection and his songs remain as well-loved as ever.

Cropredy takes place on 10-12 August 2023. We are currently only selling 3 day weekend tickets. Our Fri/Sat and Saturday only options will be available when we announce the complete line-up on 1 February.

We’ve kept the price well below that of inflation and, given the 4 Tier system, the sooner you buy, the more you save.
3 Day Tier One tickets start at just £155 – that is only a £10 increase on 2020 prices!
3 Day camping is £55 per vehicle – backpackers and bikers camp for free.
Teen tickets for those between 12 and 17 inc. cost £80.
Kids tickets (11 and under) are free.
Car Parking passes for day visitors to our car parks are £5 per day.
