Legendary British singer and Yes founder Jon Anderson has just shared two different trailers for his project “Zamran,” the long-awaited sequel to his critically acclaimed 1976 solo album “Olias Of Sunhillow.”
Anderson posted different trailers on his YouTube and Facebook pages, totalling more than ten minutes of new music. Other than crediting Mick Byrne for the videos and Jim Higgins for the artwork, there is no further information.
In addition, he has been discussing the possibility of “Zamran” for more than 20 years. The project has previously been called “Zamran-Son of Olias” or “The Songs of Zamran: Son of Olias,” and is proposed to take several different forms, including a four-disc set and an interactive app.
According to the text posted on YouTube, “the album is based on the story of four alien tribes and their journey to a new home after their planet is destroyed by a volcanic eruption.”
The singer adds in the statement, that “at every turn you find out more about the mysteries of planet earth and then more about the mysteries of the human condition, and then more about the interdimensional condition of this planet and how many interdimensional beings exist without us seeing them. And then, of course, the extension is the intergalactic people that we also don’t see. Anderson also hinted that the story may cover the idea that “mother Earth is an all-powerful computer.”
Despite all the information provided by the artist, no potential release date has been mentioned so far.
