The preview release has been set on Spotify for 26 January and from 3 February the track will be available on all other digital platforms here: https://bfan.link/potemkin

The homage to the film (1925) by master Sergej Michajlovic Ejzenstein is translated by the band through a musical transposition with a very strong, instrumental character built over Andrea Mignani‘s powerful guitar riffs and Damiano Tacchini‘s hypnotic synth responses. The whole extends into a very pressing metric divided into seven octaves.

The band wanted to divide the composition into five parts like the five acts that subdivide the director’s work, thus immersing themselves in the history and facts that gave life to one of the films that have made modern cinema history.

The band is completed by Andrea Griselli (drums), Giulia Curti (vocals and percussion), Luca Giampietri ( bass and vocals )

Cage is a toscoligure band from the Italian progressive scene.
The change of some members over the last few years has made the band’s style closer to Melodic Hard Rock while maintaining the Prog attitude, especially in the always very technical approach to the instrument.
