Alicante, Spain based Progressive Rock band The Flying Caravan announce new split album with Malaga, Spain based Progressive/Post-Rock/Metal band SomeWhereOut.

Hi, greetings from Alicante.

We are glad to announce the publication of a split that counts with the bands SomeWhereOut and The Flying Caravan. This split will be available through crowdfunding and it will be put on the Verkami platform in the coming months. The digital publishing of these themes will be released on the 19th of May.

The band SomeWhereOut, originary from Málaga (Spain), has remixed and remastered a theme of every one of their first two albums and EP. From the hand of its leader and multi-instrumentalist Raúl Lupiáñez, these three themes have various collaborations in the voices and instruments.

Tracklist:

  1. Our Promise (2021)
  2. The Loneliness (2022)
  3. What if (2019)

The Flying Caravan, on the other hand, presents an EP named “Stage Access” with two new songs so as to present their new singer and new keyboard player who complete the quintet of Alicante (Spain).
The first of the themes is a symbolic handover from their former vocalist Izaga Plata, who sings a duet with Julia Novecento, the current singer of the band.

The Split will also contain an instrumental theme, “Everybody has a story behind,” not included in the digital EP.

The Flying Caravan was born in the mind of Antonio Valiente, a musician based in Alicante (Spain). Antonio focuses on the idea of developing his own compositions with references in Progressive Rock and Classic Rock.

The band’s first album entitled “I Just Wanna Break Even” is recorded at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UMH in Altea (Alicante) and is released on CD in 2021 by Paella Records. In 2023 it is re-released by the Italian label Wormholedeath.

The band records two new tracks for an EP entitled “Stage Access” during the month of November 2022 at Peak Studios in Alicante. Once again the band counts with the work of the great illustrator Mario Domínguez for the cover.

SomeWhereOut is the personal project of guitarist and composer Raúl Lupiáñez from Málaga, with which he explores his musical interests based on Progressive Rock, Metal, Post-Rock, academic music and more.
