EXCLUSIVELY FOR RECORD STORE DAY 2023, A SUPERGROUP – WITH THE EXCEPTIONAL PARTICIPATION OF MIKAEL ÅKERFELDT FROM OPETH – REINTERPRETS TWO CLASSIC DALTON SONGS FROM THE HISTORIC 1973 DEBUT ‘REFLECTIONS: IDEA OF INFINITY’!

50 years after the release of Dalton‘s first album, “Riflessioni: Ide D’Infinito,” AMS Records is proud to present a special, unprecedented and undoubtedly unique reinterpretation, with a modern sound but at the same time faithful to the original spirit, of the two songs that give the album its title: “Riflessioni” and “Ide D’infinito,” each present in two versions, one sung and one instrumental.

Under the guidance of Aronne Cereda, the only original member of the historic Dalton lineup, an ensemble of musicians from the Italian and international Prog Rock scene has been called upon to entirely re-record two historic tracks from a legendary LP, which even today has not lost one iota of its timeless appeal.

In addition to Aronne Cereda, on vocals and acoustic guitar, the musicians involved in this project are:

Mikael Åkerfeldt, mastermind of Opeth, on electric guitars, whose exceptional involvement in this project is largely due to his unbridled passion for Italian Progressive Rock;
Cristiano Roversi, author with his Moongarden of seminal Italian Prog albums of the 1990s and 2000s, as artistic producer and keyboardist;
Enrico Gabrielli of Calibro 35, a Jazz-Funk-Psych group strongly inspired by Italian soundtracks from the 1970s, on flute;
Diego Petrini of the eclectic Bacio della Medusa on drums;
Marco Croci of Maxophone, Jumbo and Submarine Silence on bass.

An incredible and unrepeatable project, on transparent orange 12″ vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day 2024!
