The second single from Kerretta taken from their 4th studio album is called “Oceania.” The track dynamically glides from a peaceful ambience to a ferocious Pacific symphony featuring Niuean percussion, driving bass and wind instrumentation. From the safety of tranquil shores, a journey is taken through an unforgiving storm. Howling winds, relentless waves and a battle against the sea.

There is no rock without it first being in its melted state.

And after 10 years, Kerretta’s unique mark of Molten Core is back to brand our ears and minds as they are set to release their fourth studio album – “Angelm” on October 18, 2024.

Conceived as a proto-astral collision of Pangea and tectonic plates, “Angelm” carves into stone 8 tracks to reflect a summary of continents. A veritable Caribbean beach ear-bath to a vertiginous chill of Sagarmatha instrumental heaviness awaits.

Beginning from the icy expanses of Antarctica through unforgiving tundra-filled badlands to the infinity of the Pacific horizon, Angelm’s each subsequent track will have you transported further from a daily medial existence to a gorgeous cacophony of fantastical aural wonders.

Conjuring jagged rhythms, Kerretta set the scene to fill your lead boots with swagger as you swat mega-yeti’s and 12 foot igneous beasts on a righteousness path to your destiny. “Angelm” will have you reaching for your sword to slice away the threads of fucks you had, and punching the air with the other. Glorious. Mission accomplished. You will be so powerful. And your awesomeness; inevitable.

From Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Kerretta have been described as the mutant offspring formed by a coalescence of Pink Floyd, Kyuss and Kraftwerk.

Compared to the likes of Russian Circles, Tool, So I Watch You From Afar and driving a Ferrari on magic mushrooms, the three-piece have been nominated for the New Zealand Taite Prize (equivalent to the Mercury Award), have shared stages with the likes of The Breeders, Trail of Dead, Mantar, Yob, Pallbearer and Mono and tore through venues in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Europe.
