US Progressive Art Rock band Art in America have unveiled both the official trailer and the official music video for their first single, “Running By,” taken from the upcoming album “Rise,” due out on September 19, 2025 via Iconoclassic Records.

Art in America is the first Rock band to feature a symphonic pedal harp. The original band lineup includes three family members: Chris Flynn (guitar, lead singer, songwriter), Dan Flynn (drums) and Shishonee Flynn (harp, koto, tambura, vocals) and Jim Kuha (bass, vocals, songwriter, producer).
Critically acclaimed Progressive Art Rock band Art in America, in partnership with Iconoclassic Records, announces the September 19, 2025 release of “Rise,” the long-awaited follow-up to its groundbreaking self-titled debut album.
Art in America is family, both in the literal and abstract sense. Brothers Chris and Dan and sister Shishonee, along with longtime friend Jim, are at the heart of this band. No conversations about 1980’s progressive rock would be complete without the mention of Art in America. Their CBS/Pavillion first album, “Art in America,” was produced by Progressive Rock legend Eddy Offord, whose work with iconic artists like Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer made him the only natural choice to produce Art in America. Their video for the album’s title-track “Art in America” was featured in heavy rotation on MTV. They toured extensively in support of the album, headlining their own shows and opening up for such bands as U2, King Crimson, Bill Bruford, and Roxy Music. The band’s instantly-classic album cover, designed by the late renowned artist Ioannis, is celebrated in Michael Ochs book “1000 Record Covers” as one of the best album covers of all time. And they continue that boundary-pushing theme by utilizing artwork and paintings from drummer Dan Flynn for “Rise.” In 2025, the band connected with Iconoclassic Records President Jeremy Holiday, the results of which are their new album, “Rise,” in CD and limited edition vinyl formats, and also a re-release of Art in America’s self-titled first album in CD format, now completely remastered from the original master tapes by mastering engineer Vic Anesini. The re-release also includes two never before heard live bonus tracks, “Won’t It Be Strange” and “Insult The Fashion.”
