Italian Progressive Rock band G.O.L.E.M. have unveiled the official video for the track “Still Life (Pt.1) – Born Erased” taken from their upcoming EP, “Still Life,” set for release on September 12, 2025 via Black Widow Records.

The writing process and the musical research that G.O.L.E.M. took on with the first two albums (“Gravitational Objects of Light, Energy and Mysticism” in 2022 and “Gathering Of the Legendary Elephant Monsters” in 2024) is now enriched with a small but important step: “Still life”, a mini-suite in three movements which will be released by Black Widow Records on September 5th, on the day of the band’s performance at Veruno Prog Festival 2025.
The first part of the new composition, “Still life (pt.1): Born Erased” was released in May 2025 on the 7 inch vinyl attached to the magazine “Gimme Danger” (this is where the idea of the project came from); the second one, “Still Life (pt.2): Sons of Death,” and the third, “Still Life (pt.3): Still Dreaming?” are unreleased as of now. With its overall lenght of 14 minutes and 39 seconds, the EP will be released on limited and numbered CDs (100 copies), in a transperent envelope, with double-sided print poster and full lyrics.
“Still Life” focuses on the human potential as opposed to modern societies’ greed and totalitarism. Lost identities, floating loneliness, internal fractures that entertwine leading to a bitter and poetic confrontation. The song emerges from the need to provide a dreamlike and fragmented vision of the real, a path of dismay, rebellion and, perhaps, awakening.
Musically, “Still Life” is a turning point in the way of writing and in the emotional horizon of G.O.L.E.M.: rooted in a solid and powerful sound, confirmed by their live performances, the band introduces in this new work elements which tends to a more ethereal, visionary and psychedelic vibe, a balance between sonic impact, experimentation and introspection. The music space gets wider, the writing more fluid and narrative, letting go of rigid patterns to embrace a free, evocative, cinematic form.
A firm step towards new horizons, which lays the foundations for the contents of the new album, in the works already: a record which will aim deeply at investigating new solutions, different influences and expressive dynamics capable of reaching both the die-hard fans and the new generation of listeners, involved more than ever in the personal and modern language of the band.
“Still Life” is a short but intense vision, on the verge between concreteness an dream, strength and fragility, union and fragmentation. A paramount artistic passage for a band that never stops evolving, without losing the coherence of its own voice.
