Litania

Hindustan Psychedelic Doom specialists Litania have unveiled a ritualistic new sonic incantation taken from their upcoming self-titled debut, to be released on October 10th through Heavy Psych Sounds and Subsound Records.

A chant of devotion and fire, honoring Shankara — the sage who dissolved illusion. A powerful prayer to the Lord of the Mountain’s Daughter, where silence and sound merge into oneness.

Litania formed in 2024, gathering members from Italian and Serbian bands Elli De Mon, The Great Northern XCollars and The Black Heart Procession. Their upcoming debut album is eight tracks of evocative, hypnotic Doom, where the raw power of guitars merges with the spiritual depth of Indian classical music: they call it “hindustan psych.”

The intense and dark songwriting on “Litania” interweaves instrumental passages featuring traditional instruments such as sitar, dilruba, harmonium, and tanpura, while Elisa De Munari’s deep and ritualistic vocals draw inspiration from ancient Indian Ragas, evoking a journey suspended between abyss and transcendence.
