Innsbruck, Austria based Dark Folk/Alternative/Post-Rock act Ellereve have unveiled the official music video for the single “Trauma” taken from their upcoming album, “Umbra,” set to release on November 07, 2025 via Eisenwald.

This is “Trauma” — a reflection on identity in the depths of lived experience — “Trauma” explores the quiet, often disorienting space between who we are and what we’ve endured. It’s about the uncertainty that follows in the wake of survival: Are these thoughts truly mine, or are they echoes of something older?
With its deeply atmospheric build-up, the track unfolds like a slow introspection before erupting into waves of heavy bass, roaring synths, and post-metal guitars, anchored by pounding drums. The sound swells like an internal storm, reflecting the pressure of a mind caught between past and presence.
The accompanying music video unfolds like a ritual of release: encircled by flames, Ellereve writhes and struggles through the fire, a fierce battle with the shadows within. Only when the flames subside does she fall, spent and still – awakened into freedom, no longer held by trauma’s grasp.

This is “Umbra” — The shadow, the unseen, the weight beneath the light. With her second album, Ellereve descends deeper into emotional and sonic terrain — a bold evolution shaped by vulnerability, intensity, and contrast.
“Umbra” is a record of duality: fragile yet forceful, introspective yet eruptive. It weaves together a rich palette of genres – from ethereal atmospheres to crushing Post-Metal riffs and carries a sense of tension throughout, as if always moving between collapse and clarity.
This time, the sound is heavier, darker, more defiant. Drawing from the depths of post-metal, doom, and blackened textures, Ellereve explores the complexity of emotion without ever losing the haunting, cinematic essence that defines her musical identity. An unexpected shift, perhaps – but one that feels necessary. “Umbra” doesn’t just follow a path. It carves one.
