American Southern/Doom Metal duo Patriarchs In Black have unveiled the official video fore their new single “Left Behind” featuring Daniel Soren (Sixty Watt Shaman, The Mighty Nimbus) on vocals.

Yes, we have a full cover album coming out February 13th. Yes, we love recording cover songs. But what gets us really excited is releasing brand new original music. I guess we’re not supposed to release a new album every six months, so we’re going to have to “settle” for a brand new original song out February 5th. ‘Left Behindì features Daniel Soren on vocals. Dan Lorenzo on guitar and bass and as always Johnny Kelly on drums.

Former Type O Negative/Danzig drummer Johnny Kelly and guitarist riff writer Dan Lorenzo formed Patriarchs In Black at the end of 2021. The project included well known guests on vocals and bass including Karl Agell (COC Blind/Lie Heavy), Jimmy Gnecco, Dewey Bragg (Kill Devil Hill/Bill Ward) among others. Their debut single “Demon Of Regret” came out January 2022 and a full album was released July 1st, 2022. August 25th, 2023 Johnny and Dan were joined by DMC (Run-DMC) and Mark Sunshine (Unida) on the single “Veneration.” Their 2nd album “My Veneration” was October 06, 2023 with multiple guest vocalists and bassists. So many great reviews and Sirius/XM played “Dead Or Dying.” Then just for fun Patriarchs In Black released a Queen cover, a Kiss cover and a song from the first Twisted Sister album. July 19th, 2024 Patriarchs In Black released their album (all originals) called “Visioning.” The duo of Kelly and Lorenzo handle all the drums and guitars respectfully and Mark Sunshine, Karl Agell, Kelly Abe, DMC and Rob Traynor returned to contribute vocals as does Exhorder’s Kyle Thomas. 2024 also saw the limited edition CD only release of a covers EP “Covered In Black.” August 15th, 2025 Patriarchs In Black released their 4th album titled “Home,” the band’s 2nd for Germany’s Metalville Records. February 5th, 2026 Patriarchs In Black released a brand new original song “Left Behind” featuring guest vocals by Daniel Soren formerly of Sixty Watt Shaman.
