Gdańsk, Poland based Psychedelic Rock/Krautrock band Popsyze have unveiled the official video for the single “Nero 1” taken from their new album, “Powięź,” released on January 30, 2026 via Zoharum Records and Hidden Beauty Records.

“Powięź” is the fifth studio album in the Popsyze discography. It features seven premiere tracks, expanding on a formula based on free experimentation with sound and structure in such a way as to bring out a personal, somewhat emotional, and at times quite surprising character. While composing subsequent tracks, the musicians eagerly explored genres rooted in the tradition of Psychedelic Electronica, in the spirit of Krautrock, only to find an outlet for it in a Post-Rock space, densely suspended in the air. Here and there, the trio’s fascination with Afrobeat and Desert Blues subtly emerges, the latter resonating somewhat muffled and distorted from afar. A generous dose of electronics gives Popsysze a new dimension, intensifying what was previously only subtly accentuated.
“Powięź” may not be another revolution, but rather the natural progression of a band constantly exploring. The album’s title alludes to the relationship between humanity and technology. The lyrics, moreover, were inspired by the musicians’ real-life experiences, forced to battle the cybernetic, soulless virtual world of algorithms and social media, to invite their listeners to take an even closer look at contemporary dopamine triggers.
The album was recorded at the Cierpienie Studio. It was mixed by Michał Zienkowski, guitarist of Nene Heroine. Thanks to the support of the publishers, the album will be released on two physical medium: CD (Zoharum Records) and LP (Hidden Beauty Records).
