Athens, Greece based Alternative/Prog Metallers Oathswan present the video for “NOTHING.” single. Marking a new chapter for this steadily evolving band, the release highlights noticeable growth in both composition and creative direction, delivered with a distinctly professional approach.
A young girl becomes pregnant in the 1940s on the Mediterranean island of Kalymnos. Her father, a harsh and unyielding figure, cannot accept this reality, as neither could most fathers of his time. Society itself condemns such acts; everything is forbidden, everything is silent. The girl finds no help, no refuge, no understanding from anyone. Yet she insists on giving birth, believing the child could offer her hope — a reason to live, a purpose, a meaning to her existence. The weight of isolation and fear slowly drives her to madness. She begins to see visions of her life: one with the child, and one without it — desperately trying to choose her fate. When the moment comes, she follows the blood path and ends the pregnancy. Only then does she fully realize what she has done — and she takes her own life. When the moment comes, she follows the blood path and ends the pregnancy. Only then does she fully realize what she has done — and she takes her own life. “Nothing” confronts the emotional abandonment of a child by its mother. Not through death, not through absence of body — but through silence, neglect, and emotional withdrawal. It speaks of a bond that should be unbreakable, slowly corroded by coldness, unresolved trauma, and refusal to connect.
The video clip was filmed in the island of Kalymnos, Dodecanese, Greece, across five different locations of the island and directed by Panagiotis Tsalavrettas and Manos J. Kouris.
The single is available on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.

— About Oathswan —
Oathswan is an Alternative Metal band from Athens, Greece. The band formed by members of Metal bands such as Mask of Prospero, Gentihaa and Aetherian. Each individual has his own experience playing shows alongside Tesseract, Thy Art is Murder, Chelsea Grin, Vader (on tour) and Dimmu Borgir. Their music identity is an alternative blend of Metalcore, Post-Metal, and Djent, influenced by gaming and Cinematic score uniqueness trying to live their romance into their shallow present. Oathswan has already released an four track EP called “For Those Who Breathe From Darkness” and they recently revealed their next chapter starting with the single “Cursed.“ On February of 2025 the band launched its first European tour, in a row of venues at Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia. On late May of 2025, Oathswan revealed their last single/video “Past Echo.” The band as a trio (after the departure of the bassist Kostas Mexis), keeps working on a full length release but in the meantime, they revealed on February of 2026 the single “Birds and Snakes” and their latest video for “NOTHING.” single on early March of 2026.
