Connecticut solo doom project Cinder Mage surfaces from the crypt with a new single, “Mage Masher” — the first taste of the upcoming full-length “Anointed in Blood,” set for release on April 03, 2026.

The track arrives as the opening salvo of what promises to be the project’s most ambitious statement yet. Rooted in the suffocating low-end tradition of Electric Wizard and the smoke-caked riff worship of classic stoner doom, Cinder Mage has been quietly carving out a distinctly grim corner of the Connecticut underground since the debut single “Gloom Addict” (October 2025), followed shortly by the six-track EP “Serpent Doctrine” (November 2025) — a record entirely written, performed, recorded and mixed by a single pair of hands.
