Stavropol, Russia based Psychedelic Fuzz Doom Metal band Bongtower have unveiled the official video for the first single, “Sayat Nova” taken from their upcoiming album, “The Color of Pomegranates,” set for release on May 10, 2026.

We present the new conceptual album “The Color of Pomegranates,” dedicated to the eponymous film by Sergei Parajanov. Color of Pomegranates is a unique 1969 work that poetically depicts the life and creativity of Armenian poet and musician Sayat-Nova. Parajanov’s film, full of symbolism and vivid visual metaphors, is divided into episodes covering the poet’s childhood, his love, spiritual quests, and tragic death, with minimal dialogue and a focus on music and imagery.
In the spirit of the conceptual series of albums “Oscillator,” we invite you to immerse yourself in this world: a world of drama, religious experiences, warm childhood memories, unfulfilled love, and tragic death.
