Russian Garage-Psychedelic Rock duo Sun Q return with “Mythwave,” a bold, retro-futuristic reinterpretation of their 2023 album “Myth,” set for release on May 14, 2026. The six-track digital release transforms the band’s analog, guitar-driven sound into a Cinematic, synth-led experience inspired by the aesthetics of 1980s Sci-fi and vintage arcade culture.

Blending Synthwave, Retrowave, and Cyberpunk influences, “Mythwave” reimagines Sun Q’s original compositions through layered synthesizers, pulsating rhythms, and neon-lit atmospheres. Drawing from the sonic worlds of classic sci-fi films and early digital culture, the album reshapes familiar material into something both nostalgic and forward-looking.
Founded by Elena Tiron and Ivan Shalimov, Sun Q have carved out a distinctive space on the independent scene with their fusion of gritty guitar textures and expressive female vocals.
