In a sprawling testament to Argentine Rock tradition and modern sonic ambition, Tractor has released their highly anticipated full-length album, “Origen De Lo Vivo.” Available since June 20, 2026, the record is more than just a collection of songs; it is an immersive journey into themes of memory and resilience. The band anchors its sound around the powerful concept encapsulated by the phrase: “Frecuencias de contención. Lo ancestral como refugio,” suggesting that deep-rooted cultural elements serve as necessary havens in a chaotic world.

The album’s sonic palette draws heavily from genres ranging across Rock, Grunge, Space Rock, and Stoner Rock, while maintaining a distinct Argentine flavor evident in the tracklist. The six tracks guide the listener through diverse emotional landscapes, beginning with the taut energy of “Punta de lanza,” followed by the expansive rhythm of “Chacarera de la razón.” The album builds momentum through mid-tempo explorations like “Cumbre de la paz” and “Perderse,” before reaching a powerful zenith with the nearly nine-minute epic, “Claridad del alba.” The journey concludes with the evocative, concise piece, “Patagonia,” leaving the listener steeped in reflection.

The creation of “Origen De Lo Vivo” was an intensely collaborative endeavor, captured during sessions at Morrototo FC in Villa Ruiz, Buenos Aires. The core trio—Jerónimo Otranto on guitar and backing vocals, Santiago Ramírez handling bass and lead vocals, and Damián Gutierrez providing drums and harmonies—were supported by a robust technical team. The album benefited from the expertise of Juano Zabalza and Agustín Rivera as recording engineers, with Tractor and Juano Zabalza jointly serving as producers. Mixing was handled by Juano Zabalza, while mastering was executed by Juan Ambiela at Bonzo Estudio in Luján, Buenos Aires. The technical precision extended to specialized roles, including drum tuning by Diego Belli, guitar technology provided by Eduardo Fonseca and Juan Cavalli, and bass technology managed by Emanuel Granatti and Jerónimo Lafourcade.

Beyond the musical architecture, the album’s visual identity was crafted by Ramiro Gutiérrez, who oversaw the cover art, design, and animation. The entire audiovisual content was handled by Gunkza Films, with final editing completed by Granero Records in 2026. Tractor dedicated this monumental effort to celebrating community and legacy, acknowledging their family support, friends who managed the logistics during the three-day recording period, and particularly thanking the Rockamigos de Luján for fueling the movement. The album also pays tribute to a constellation of local acts—including Santuca, Vadesuyo, Los Esqueletos, Sevelhumano, Montón de Huesos, and The Valium Brothers—and is specifically dedicated to the enduring legacy of Alberto “Miyo” Miglioranza.
