Nijmegen, Netherlands based Psychedelic Doom Folk solo project Iskandr has unveiled official full stream for his new album, “Sacraal,” which was just released on June 26, 2026 via Eisenwald.
Stream “Sacraal” in full via the youTube player below:
Iskandr — Nijmegen’s troubadour of Psychedelic Doom Folk — returns with “Sacraal,” displaying renewed songwriting and creative path that takes the project in an ever more spacious and enigmatic direction. Seven songs of medieval triumph and vigor marked by moments of intensely quiet stillness, the album sees Iskandr grow even further away from its roots in the black metal scene and towards post-industrial landscapes, introspection and hymnal Folk motifs.
“Sacraal” offers apocalyptic Folk song structures, gothic funeral hymns and eerie industrial sounds, with organ-driven intros and moments of deep introspection and profound spacial length, evoking the feeling of gazing at stars in the night sky and deep nostalgia.
With “Sacraal,” Iskandr will see perhaps another shift in focus towards ever more breadth and genre defying Experimentation — another stepping stone in the path.
