Dresden, Germany based Doom Metal duo Caravan Of Souls ihae unveiled official music video for the single, “Escape from Hell” taken from new album, “The Maze Of Doom,” which was released on July 03, 2026 via G.M.S. Records.
Caravan Of Souls is a Doom Metal project that moves less like a band and more like a wandering ritual. Founded in the year 2000 A.D. by G.Black, the project has always followed a path shaped by darkness, longing, and inner landscapes. Its music is a form of invocation: Heavy guitars, drifting voices, dust, shadows, and a horizon that never fully reveals itself.
The very first song was written for the first G.M.S. Records sampler, marking the initial spark of what would become the Caravan’s sonic identity. Only a year later, the debut album “Oscurità” and the “Cries” EP emerged — early works that defined the project’s aesthetic: slow-burning melodies, occult atmosphere, and a depth that whispers more than it speaks.
G.Black grew up in the Dresden Metal scene, playing in bands such as Dark Demons, Trojan, and Achilles. He later founded the Metal band Shadowmaker, where Michael Schulze already played drums — a musical connection that would return decades later.
Since 2020, Michael Schulze has been responsible for the drums at Caravan Of Souls. His earlier work includes bands like Fangorn, The Cold Rush, and Devilskiss, and he is also known for his projects SUMEN and Gore Patrol. His experience adds an organic heaviness that perfectly complements the Caravan’s vision.
Over the years, songs have emerged in a wide range of moods — from deeply depressive and pitch-black atmospheres to uplifting, explosive pieces that feel like a sudden flare in the dark. This emotional spectrum reflects the personal journey of G.Black, who has walked through many highs and lows. The Caravan’s music carries the imprint of every step.
Today, Caravan Of Souls blends Doom, Atmospheric Metal, and Cinematic textures into a sound that feels like a journey through inner deserts. A procession of souls moving forward – slow, heavy, searching. Caravan Of Souls creates music for those who see more clearly in the dark.
This is already their third release this year, following “Fiesta de Los Tillos” and “Lost In The Forest.”
