The graveyard of idols, deities, and ideas; the destruction of our land and the decline of humanity for the benefit of a few in the name of justice and freedom.

Monje is a Doom/Sludge Metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Formed in 2016, Monje is comprised of Diego Petullo (guitar), Lucas Scardamaglia (bass), Sebastián Regueira (guitar), Diego Hernandez (drums), and Matias Ibañez (vocals).

They have released four studio albums: “Monje” (2018), “Druga Dimenzije” (2020), “Culto al fin de los tiempos” (2023), and their most recent work, “Necrópolis” (2026). They also have a live album: “Igual de Macabro: Live Bunker” (2022).

Monje boasts a Dark and aggressive sound that reaches its full potential in their live shows, which have taken them throughout their career, both within Argentina and in neighboring countries.

With this new obituary, Monje transcends doom to explore, through Death and Black Metal, the sepulchral groove that coexists in dissonant harmonies with blast beats, density and riffs, experiencing the number of climates that can be found within his dark, and so aggressively morbid darkness.
