Following critical acclaim for their “motorik, prog-psychedelic, vintage synth madness,” Berlin-based trio Zoon Phonanta has released the official video for their latest single, “Badcats (feat. A.S. Fanning).” The track serves as a premier look into their highly anticipated second album, “Emergency Lies,” scheduled for worldwide release on September 18, 2026, via Bronze Rat Records.

Described as a “hip-shaking motorik post-punk diss,” “Badcats” features the haunting, “gothic Irish folk croon” of guest vocalist A.S. Fanning. The track was recorded at the legendary Candy Bomber studios by Ingo Krauss and mastered by Fredrik Kinbom at Madam Vega’s Boudoir.
The single represents the eclectic, “fearlessly inventive” spirit of the upcoming album, which UNCUT has already rewarded with an 8/10 review. “Emergency Lies” is characterized as an “eclectic adventure” that fuses seemingly disparate genres—from “psych-disco” and “electro-noise” to “Welsh-language sloganeering“—into a cohesive, “audacious” listening experience.
