Warsaw, Poland based Atmospheric Doom/Post-Metal band backbone returns with a brand new single “Radical Mystic.”
“Radical Mystic” is the first single taken from the band’s upcoming sophomore full-length album, “Ama Nesciri,” scheduled for release on October 28th, 2026.

backbone is a Warsaw-based band playing a modern blend of Atmospheric/Post-/Doom Metal. Active since 2012, the group creates music drawn from inspirations such as Dirge, Opeth, Yob, Cult Of Luna, Blindead, and Obscure Sphinx. The band has released three EPs, one split, and a full-length album, “Embracing Dissolution.” Currently, they are putting the finishing touches on their second LP and the fourth edition of their own Blood&Bone Festival, with proceeds dedicated to supporting bone cancer patients.
The track “Radical Mystic” announces the upcoming concept album “Ama Nesciri,” which tells the story of a Mystic torn by the conflict between the perceived world and his own spiritual needs. The album explores the universal human need for spirituality in all its dimensions, referencing world religions and philosophies. In the song “Radical Mystic,” the title character begins his journey toward enlightenment; however, his impulsive heart and zealotry draw him close to religious fanaticism. The lyrics are inspired by Sufism, particularly the concept of striving for sainthood to become a “wali” — a pillar of faith whose prayers sustain the world.
