Subsun comments: “Super stoked to announce that our second album, ‘Doomsday Clock,’ drops on November 6!
This is a 10-track concept album exploring existential risks, featuring fully reworked and re-recorded versions of our 2023 singles ‘Doomsday Clock’ and ‘Beta Species.’
Our second single, ‘Old Plague,’ will be followed by the third and final single, ‘Ethereal Dream,’ on October 9. Let’s go!
Once again, the killer artwork was made by Alexandre Goulet and the whole album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Apartment 2.
We are announcing a release tour for this next week! Stay tuned!”
Combining the raw power of Sludge, the Psychedelic atmosphere of Doom, the eclectic structures of Progressive Metal, and the melodic hooks of Stoner Rock, Subsun is a Heavy Music powerhouse hailing from Gatineau, Quebec (Canada).
Comprised of André Bélanger (guitar), Jérémy Blais (drums), Charles Lord (bass/vocals), and Jean-Michel Fortin (guitar/vocals), the quartet has quickly carved out a distinct space in the Quebec underground scene. Their sonic universe is saturated with massive Fuzz, sudden transitions, and a dynamic contrast between Dark, ominous soundscapes and abrasive, high-octane Heavy sections. But while their studio arrangements are meticulously crafted, it is their high-energy, punishing live performances that have earned them a dedicated following among fans of thunderous drums and greasy, low-end tones.
