Song Of The Lizard, the new musical project formed around singer-songwriter and guitarist Andrea Van Cleef, have released the official studio session video for their single “Coyote.” The track serves as the opening piece from the project’s live-recorded release, May 2, 2026, issued via Rivertale Productions.
Captured entirely in a single day at La Buca Recording Studio in Montichiari (Brescia, Italy), the session was engineered and recorded live by Simone Piccinelli. The accompanying visual document was filmed by The Coyote Collective (SG, SC, GD) and edited by Joey Gaibina, offering a direct view into the quartet’s live interaction.

Written by Andrea Van Cleef and performed by Song Of The Lizard, “Coyote” documents a performance free of studio overdubs or modern digital processing. The session relied strictly on vintage amplifiers, guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards to record the band in real time.
Song Of The Lizard features a distinct lineup alongside Van Cleef on vocals and guitar: Alessandro “Ale Serio” Serioli on keyboards and backing vocals, bassist Mauro “Maurer” Crescini (who also directs the group’s artwork and visual design), and session drummer Mauro Carraro.
While “Coyote” originally originated in Van Cleef’s earlier Stoner Rock projects—such as Van Cleef Continental, Humulus, and The Fuzz Resistance—this new arrangement pushes the material into neo-Psychedelic and Desert Rock territories. The track replaces heavy distortion with a spontaneous, Atmospheric groove while retaining its underlying Heavy Rock foundation.
The single and the full six-track session represent the initial release from this four-piece lineup, who are currently developing an album of entirely new material.
