Zürich, Switzerland based Progressive Rock group Prisma have released their new single, “Aether,” set for launch on October 2, 2026. Formed in Zürich in 2002, the band returns with new music following their 2021 release, “Gold.”
Stream “Aether” via the Spotify player below:
Composed by Valentin Grendelmeier with lyrics penned by Michael Luginbühl, “Aether” features a German-language lyric narrative. Lyrically, the track explores themes of mortality, post-mortem isolation, and existential reflection, delivered from the perspective of a speaker reflecting on life from beyond the grave. The narrative moves between dark humor—touching on forgotten legacies and misspelled gravestones—and a direct call for listeners to expand their personal horizons while abandoning destructive behaviors.
Musically rooted in Progressive Rock and Progressive Metal, with stylistic tags aligning the release alongside acts such as Tool, the single marks the next chapter in Prisma‘s catalog. Their discography includes the previous studio releases “Collusion” (2006), “You Name It” (2012), and “Gold” (2021)
