Genoa-based cult label Black Widow Records continues to expand its digital footprint, making its invaluable historical catalog accessible to the modern streaming era. The latest archival addition to hit their official Bandcamp profile is “Stimmung,” from Italian Progressive Rock outfit Standarte.
Hailing from Pisa, Italy, Standarte established themselves as torchbearers of classic 1970s Italian Prog, building their distinctive sound around rich Hammond organ and Mellotron arrangements. “Stimmung” captures the group’s vintage Heavy Prog aesthetic, balancing intricate organ-driven riffs with Atmospheric passages rooted in the traditional 70s Progressive Rock sound.
The album is available digitally as well as in physical CD and Vinyl formats via Black Widow Records.
