Chilean Progressive Rock band Aisles published the official lyric video for the track “La Conquistada” taken from their upcoming EP “Obras de Los Jaivas” due out on May 24, 2024. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:

The band states on their official newsletter:

During the last few months, we have been working on a new EP where we pay tribute to Los Jaivas, and it’s simply called “Obras de Los Jaivas”. The EP consists of four tracks that were originally written and performed by Chilean group Los Jaivas, a psychedelic, progressive rock band whose career spans six decades and more than ten studio albums. They are considered one of the most influential bands in Latin America and the most important Chilean band in history.

We have released the first track, a reinterpretation of “La Conquistada,” included originally in the self-titled album “Los Jaivas” (1975), for which we invited musician and influencer Nico Borie on vocals. “La Conquistada” was been reimagined in a style influenced by electronic and industrial rock, maintaining the essence of the original Los Jaivas’ song, where they speak about the pain of losing one’s homeland, but taking a broader meaning: the loss of love or a loved one.
