Hollow Drifter plays Psychedelic-Prog-Drowned Stoner Rock. Venturing through protean songs, merging epic structures, complex rhythms a powerful groove, they never forget to be Heavy and raw.
Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath are the obvious inspirations, though their music is also nourished by Tool, Kyuss, Battles, The Comet Is Coming, Elder, Slift, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and many other artists, genres and influences.
Initially founded and based in Amsterdam, Hollow Drifter has always been international, gathering musicians from all around the world, driven by a primal will of creation, experimentation, transmogrification, and a ravenous appetite for playing live. Surely a loud and amplified Rock band, their shapeshifting skills allow them to turn their songs into intimate acoustic folk ballads full of woodwinds and vocal harmonies. This ability allows them to shine in a dark pub, a sweaty club, a sun-drenched festival, or a giant stadium.
