Australian Psych Post-ProgressiveRock solo project neonghoste has unveiled the official music video for the single “Inside” taken from his new album, “Honeytrip,” released on November 15, 2025.

This album is my fourth as neonghoste, but I’d say far and away the best yet, or at least most cohesive and confident. The biggest influence on the album at least intrinsically is the album “Meddle” by Pink Floyd. Looking at the track listing you’ll see the similarity in the first half/couple of songs are sort of unrelated (at least sonically, the themes behind them all draw from the same wells of inspiration) and then the second half is the big song, although “Purifire” has been split up into is 6 parts for your convenience however they are intended to be listen to as 1 song, and yes I know the 1st part opens the album and then the rest of the parts are 4 songs later, P1 flows into both P2 & Stargazing W/ A Ghoste. Am I explaining too much, probably, but I’m excited and passionate about this thing and if you’re reading you have at least a faint interest also, so this should get you more into my mindset.
Sonically, Kyuss, My Bloody Valentine, Flying Saucer Attack, Deftones, The Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Joao Gilberto (and Bossa Nova in general, totally overlooked genre!), Queens Of The Stone Age and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are the biggest influences on this record, among a plethora of others.
“All sounds heard are composed, arranged, recorded and played by neonghoste barring the drums on Defective Vessel which were done by the effervescent & ever brilliant Rowan Carr and the vocal sample at the start of the same track which was lifted from a Jerma video (don’t tell him pls!). Oh and the frogs and cricket and found sounds, I didn’t make em but I did record em.” – States the artist
