Born in 2023 through the incandescent haze of a changing world, PVRS is a duo that pushes the boundaries of Post-Metal. From the very first bursts of distortion, the project established itself with irresistible force: a blazing debut show followed by the release of their debut album “Solstice” in February 2024, a call to all souls seeking intense sonic vibrations. This album stands as a bold statement from the duo, showcasing their mastery of the genre while stretching the limits of what Doom Metal can achieve. From haunting atmospheres to crushing heaviness, each track testifies to the band’s creative vision and musical power. After touring in Belgium, PVRS embarked in October 2024 on a memorable tour alongside Waltari, further honing the raw strength that makes each of their performances a truly sensory experience. Between hypnotic heaviness and soaring vocals that brush against the essence of mystery, the band shapes a soundscape where every note becomes a total immersion. The echoes of their live shows still resonate, proof that PVRS leaves no one indifferent. The verdict from audiences is unanimous : more than a concert, it’s a journey. And this journey has only just begun…
PVRS will release their new album “Let the Silence Begin” on November 7, 2025. A first single, “Fraktal,” was released in September, and is now followed by “Lonely Nights.”
“Lonely Nights” is a dark and haunting ballad that dives deep into the spiral of alcoholism. Through intimate lyrics, the narrator expresses regret, broken promises, and the pain of dragging a loved one into his lost nights. Balancing between confession and self-destruction, the song captures the struggle between the desire to change and the helplessness in the face of addiction. In the music video, we follow a man sinking into a night of wandering and alcohol. From bar to bar, he tries to escape his demons, until intoxication leads him to a car crash. Raw and realistic, the visual narrative depicts the destructive spiral of alcoholism and the inevitable loss of control that follows.
Diving deeper than ever into introspection, “Let the Silence Begin” marks a powerful new chapter for the band. The lyrics, both poetic and thought-provoking, carry a rare intensity, driven by mesmerizing melodies that blend with devastating force. The drumming, subtle yet explosive, perfectly balances ethereal post-rock textures with moments of pure rage. Recorded with precision by Nicolas Lomartire (Villenoire, ex-Lethvm) and elevated by the mastering of Steven Kerry (Sleep Token, Malevolence…), the album pulses with raw, immersive energy, a sonic experience one doesn’t emerge from unscathed. “Let the Silence Begin” is a journey into the depths of the human darkness : solitude, addiction, and inner quests. Through ten intense and contrasting tracks, PVRS explores the fragility of the soul : alcoholism (Lonely Nights), isolation (Silence), the scars left by pride (Scars to Keep), and the temptation of oblivion (Sommeil Refuge). Each song moves between fragility and strength, shadow and light, shaping a world where the personal becomes universal. This album is both a confession and a revolt, a cathartic plunge into silence, where our rawest truths are born.
