“Olympus Mons” is the latest cosmic blow from Norwegian Stoner Rockers The Big Rip, set to drop August 22, 2025. This four-track EP drags listeners across burning deserts, crushing mountains and alien depths, riffs first, questions never.
From the monolithic force of “Behold, This Mountain” to the desolate landscape of “Kaktus,” each track is a fuzz-drenched trip through blazing riffs and Psychedelic wastelands.
A concept-driven trip for fans of fuzzy guitars, thunderous grooves, and apocalyptic themes. This is The Big Rip at their most unrelenting and atmospheric yet.
Says the band: “It’s a four track EP where our first song ‘Behold, This Mountain’ is the mothership. Vocally inspired by Witchcraft’s album »Legends«, with groovy fuzz, chill vibes and throat singing, we hope this will catch your attention.”
The Big Rip is a five-piece Stoner Rock band hailing from the industrial city of Porsgrunn, Norway. The band was formed in november 2021, and since then they have been delivering their groovy, and Heavy Stoner/Scandi-Rock to audiences around the region. Combining fuzzed-out guitars, driving basslines, thunderous drums, and soulful vocals, The Big Rip creates a sound that is both powerful and captivating.
