The Voodoo Drummer-Duo HELLaS SPELLS

The Voodoo Drummer Duo have released the official visualizer for the single “Yomo’s Dream,” a composition by cellist Stavros Parginos, taken from the duo’s debut album “HELLaS SPELLS.”

An entirely instrumental piece, “Yomo’s Dream” draws inspiration from an African fairy tale centered around perseverance, patience, and the joy found in life’s smallest details. The music intertwines Parginos’ evocative cello with the powerful rhythmic foundation of Chris Koutsogiannis on drums, shaping a soundscape that is at once intimate and expansive.

The visual element of the release features a striking image by photographer Andrew McConnell, portraying cellist Josephine practicing in Kinshasa, Congo — a photograph that resonates with the piece’s themes of resilience and beauty in simplicity.

The track was mixed by Kostas Tsiolis, mastered by Yiannis Christodoulatos (Sweetspot Productions), and edited by Nikos Koutsogiannis.

With “Yomo’s Dream,” The Voodoo Drummer Duo confirm their ability to merge diverse influences into a distinctive artistic voice, bridging cultures through sound and imagery.
