The song “Lønahorgi” is inspired by the majestic Norwegian nature and landscape. Its lyrics deal with how walking up a mountain, climbing and getting in touch with nature can be a relief from the tragedies that life puts in front of us. The song aims is a personal story on how during certain difficult times, the composer of this song has gone deep into the mountains to try to survive emotional and psychological pain. It certainly relatable in the Scandinavian context where hiking in the mountains is a popular activity.
As the lyrics read: “all the years and all the madness, slowly bled as tears of sweat.” The song is a mix of influences, clearly inspired by Heavy Progressive music with interspersed string arrangements; it also blends some passages of Ambient Electronic soundscapes, to then culminate with Metal inspired riffs.
