Introducing the headline music video track from Dreaming David K‘s 3rd album called “Black Cat Metaphysics.”
The story so far:
The first old school 1970s influenced Progressive Rock album Mr. Passive Progressive came out in 2020. The joke was that David took 45 years to get Round to recording aprogalbum, and then did two more in 18 months! The band on all three albums is a studio line up that call them theOrganicband. This 3rd album has the same main 4 people as the other two albums. Dreaming David K is the alias/alter ego of David Kovacevic who writes all the tracks and sings and plays keyboards. Gavin Beckwith and Marco Magnani both play a mixture of bass , electric and acoustic guitars. Jerome Bannigan and Alex Savva both play drums. There sameguest musicianson Flute, Sax and Trumpet play a little on Black cat metaphysics` Some artist notes;
Although most tracks have lyrics and harmony vocals the overall music is more than 50% instrumental.
The feel has a 1970s light and shade style. The Rock is melodic and has timing parts now and again but it is 21st century.
There are guitar harmonies and sometimes acoustic guitars are blended together.
True story. Just before Dave started to record Mr. PP a black cat wondered into his home thru The back door, and over a few weeks moved in. This fantastic cat was huge, all black and very friendly. All the other cats in the area just let him be king. Sometimes there were 4 or 5 cats in the yard. DDK would often sing to Mr. Black his latest tunes. The cat stayed with the house for 3 years, until the end of recording the third album. Sadly one day he was found departed in another garden. Dreaming David thinks this cat was some kind of cosmic energy messenger But DDK is quite a dreamer…
