Finnish Progressive Rockers Naryan have released their new single, entitled “A Place Where Even Angels Lose Faith.” The song, which breaks a year-and-a-half-long silence, features new members Jarno Forsman and Henriina Marin on bass and violin respectively. The song also recovers the Progressive vein that the band had left behind in favour of melancholy in the 2021 single “History.” Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
With “A Place Where Even Angels Lose Faith” we find ourselves before a rich sound, in which keyboards and violin and guitars dialogue with each other in a marvellous and refined interweaving. Above it all, Tommi Niemi‘s majestic performance on the microphone, capable of painting emotions with high notes and a great mastery of his voice. The song, which flirts with the Progressive side of the band, maintains the cornerstones of Naryan‘s sound – made up of beauty, desolation and melancholy – and carries on that melancholic Rock that represents our deepest souls.
“A Place Where Even Angels Lose Faith” was composed by Tommi Tanhuanpää, who also wrote the lyrics. Production is by Lauri Kovero and Naryan. Recording and mixing by Mikko Marjamäki (Digitall Berryhill). Mastering by Glenn Thomas (iTunes Audio). Photos of the band are by Jari Timonen.
