“To our dearest fans, followers, and friends,
I am announcing my resignation from KADAVAR, parting ways with Lupus, Simon, and Jascha. I wish them all the best carrying forward the torch we lit in 2010. For over sixteen years, we stood for something that mattered and built a space to do exactly what we wanted. This band became a central part of my life and identity and I even learned a thing or two on the drums along the way.
Above all, I feel gratitude:
Salute to Mammut! For teaching me to be bold, loud, and unapologetic. We launched this rocket together. You have my full respect, old friend. Salute to Simon! You collided with us when we needed it most, filling the void with violent passion and becoming a brother to me. Salute to Jascha! You brought fresh blood and perspective right on time, gently putting us back in the groove when we needed direction.
Let’s not bullshit anyone: when two founding members build a band and one leaves, it’s not because everything is perfect. Lupus and I steered this ship together. Never without conflict, never without outcome. The friction between us sparked fire and created gold dust over eight records and a thousand shows. But after sixteen years of giving everything, my gut tells me it’s time to move on. Lupus, you’ve had the single biggest impact on this band, as a leader, a maker, a chaotic genius, and a friend. Without you, none of this exists. Thank you. Thanks to my wife Judith, for raising two wonderful kids with me while keeping this madness alive.
To all our fans: I am forever grateful. I have lived half of my life receiving more appreciation than I could have ever imagined. I will always live for music and hope to see you on my new path. Before my exit, we’re playing one last tour together. To celebrate what we have started, and end this chapter right.
Come say goodbye.
Thank you.
Tiger“
