The Süns and their old-school Heavy Rock single “Warning,” taken from the upcoming second album.
In 2023 they got a lot of positive feedback from fans and music critics for their debut album “O miastach I uczuciach” (About Cities and Feelings). Today, they are coming back with a new single “Warning” which shows the darker and more heavy-rock face of the band. The song is from their upcoming second album “Sunsets,” which is in English and is due for release in July, 2025.
The Süns is a vintage Rock power trio from Poland. The Süns are: Gwalbert, Maksymilian and Wojciech. Gwalbert – the leader of the band is fascinated with 60s British Blues and Classic Rock — Black Sabbath, Budgie, The Doors, Cream, Groundhogs, The Who, Love or even German bands such as Frumpy, Out of Focus or Silberbart. This is a lot of music diversity and the band’s music is pretty much like this, a real kaleidoscope of colours and a few vintage Music worlds in the vein of blues, Heavy Rock and Psychedelia.
Their first album “O miastach i uczuciach” got very positive reviews in three major Polish music magazines – “Teraz Rock,” “Lizard” and “Twój Blues.” The critics admired deep and very personal lyrics from Gwalbert and the vintage, very authentic and fresh sound on the album.
— Two faces —
The Süns is a chameleon. Their music has two faces. The first one is subtle, poetic and delicate, whereas the other one is old-school Heavy Rock and Psychedelia, with songs based on Heavy riffs. This is what the single “Warning” is like. It is worth pointing out that it is their heaviest song and will surely attract fans of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Budgie or even some lesser known bands such as early Edgar Broughton Band or Dust.
“Warning” just like all the other songs was recorded live in a studio which helped to achieve the authenticity, energy and concert vibe in the sound.
The song has archetypal kind of rock lyrics. It is about a beautiful and charming woman who plays in her life as if she was starring in a crazy film. She cheats and lies with ease. Teasing is part of her nature and she is a master of seduction.

— Music video —
There is an official video to the song. The Süns are sure that they managed to achieve something special and truly unique. They recreated the old tradition of psychedelic liquid art.
The video was recorded by Tomasz Domagalski — a friend of the band. He has a natural gift for art, photography, graphic design and film making.
Here is his short account on the filming of the video:
“In terms of visual aspects, ‘Warning’ is a bold move towards raw and organic aesthetics. Analogue video taping, which was used here, created the inherited natural effects of distortion and glitches. Intentional defocusing between shots and zooming were intended to capture emotions of the guys and expressionism in their playing. The whole thing was enhanced by the live psychedelic liquid art show, which was made with an old projector. Everything just works here perfectly: music, technique, emotions and light.”
Gwalbert has been passionate and crazy about music since the age of 4 when his parents would play Fleetwood Mac and Michael Jackson from recorded cassettes to calm him down. Quite early in his life and with a little help from his beloved dad, he discovered the world of Classic Rock and has been digging ever since. He is eternally in love with early rural Delta blues and electric urban blues, unknown Progressive and Psychedelic Rock from 60s and 70s, Krautrock and … old-school Thrash/Death/Black Metal from late 80s and early 90s. He cares about passion, emotions, expressionism, dedication in music. When it comes to Metal, he loves Sarcofago, early Sepultura, Vulcano, Holocausto, Demolition Hammer, Tormentor, Root, Master’s Hammer, Schizo, Death, Slayer, early Mayhem, Deicide, Barnes-era Cannibal Corpse and neverending world of Extreme old-school underground Metal. He is an avid music collector and when it comes to metal music,he collects old demo tapes and first press LPs. The crowns of his collection are: Blasfemia – Guerra Total original 1st press LP and original demo cassette of Vader – Necrolust. Honestly, he might be the world’s most inconspicuous Metalhead.
It wasn’t until the age of 17 when Gwalbert finally started playing the guitar. His lyrics are deep and personal. His guitar style is inspired by British Blues heroes such as Tony Mcphee, Eric Clapton, Kim Simmonds, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Paul Kossoff and guys like Tony Iommi, Tommy Bolin and Michael Schenker.
Wojciech quite naturally became fascinated with drums. His parents first thought of buying him a kit when he started tapping rhythms on air drums on a particularly long car journey. Soon after, he began drumming lessons with Arek Skolik – a respected Polish Jazz drummer. His main inspirations are King Crimson, The Police and Tool.
Maksymilian loves bass guitar. He plays the piano and saxophone as well. Currently a student at Music Academy in Cracow. Began playing in the band at the age of 16. He listens to a variety of styles and bands including King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Soft Machine, Parliament and Charles Mingus. He is enchanted with Motown sound and it seems that there’s no such music that is brilliant and he has never heard of it.
