Indian Progressive Rock act Antariksh release their new single “Naaqis (Acoustic)” today, November 3rd, 2026. The self-released track is available digitally and is accompanied by a live performance video.
The release launches “Antariksh Unplugged Season 1,” a new series built around reimagining songs from the band’s catalogue through more intimate arrangements and a different musical lens.
“Naaqis” originally explored frustration, insecurity and disillusionment on the difficult path of pursuing one’s dreams. In this acoustic version, Antariksh bring the emotional core and melodic detail of the song to the foreground, giving the composition a more organic and open feel.
Founder, frontman and producer Varun Rajput comments:
“Naaqis, which featured Polish Guitar Virtuoso, ‘Jakub Zytecki’ & Indian Sarangi Prodigy, ‘Momin Jhan’ in its original version (https://youtu.be/uBLjdDzyVsQ?si=BL1YjxJC_dgNnv4q) is a deeply personal song about the moment when the journey becomes much harder than you ever imagined, and you begin questioning yourself, the people around you, and the choices you’ve made. Reimagining it acoustically gave us an opportunity to explore the song from a completely different perspective. With an expanded lineup of incredible musicians, we wanted to retain the intensity and emotional depth of the original while creating something more intimate, organic, and dynamic. The idea behind Antariksh Unplugged is to revisit our music, strip things back where needed, and discover new dimensions in songs that already mean a great deal to us.”
The live session presents Antariksh in an expanded ensemble setting, focusing on the interplay between the musicians and the way the band’s compositions change outside their original studio arrangements.
Founded in 2012 by composer and producer Varun Rajput, Antariksh combine Rock with Hindustani and Carnatic music, alongside Modern Pop and Electronic elements. The band have performed more than 1,200 shows in India and internationally and have collaborated with musicians including Marty Friedman, Jack Gardiner, Jakub Zytecki and Baiju Dharmajan.
