Gothenburg’s genre−defying Folk Rock band Orkan return with “Den Som Sover Ska Få Se” (They Who Sleep Shall See), out July 3rd via their own imprint Blåsväder Records (Windy Weather Records). The single offers a hypnotic preview of their upcoming third full−length album, “Vakendrömmar” (Dreams You Dream While You’re Awake), due August 28, 2025.

Sometimes a riff is just a riff—until one day, it transforms into something more. Parts of “Den Som Sover Ska Få Se” had been floating around for years before finally coming together as what might be Orkan‘s most dancefloor−friendly track to date. At first glance, it may seem like an outlier on “Vakendrömmar,” but in truth, its free-spirited nature perfectly reflects the album’s core essence: songwriting born out of instinct and unfiltered creative flow.
Lyrically, the song dives into dreamlike states—between sleep and wakefulness, drifting through reflections of social injustice, glimpses of hope, and the unknowable. “Whether those dreams speak of today’s injustices, hope for the future, or something entirely different—that’s for the listener to decide,” the band notes.
Formed in the vibrant underground of Gothenburg, Orkan—Swedish for “Hurricane”—has spent the past decade leaving a stormy trail across stages in Sweden and Europe. Known for their electrifying live energy and fiercely political lyrics, the band merges classic 60s and 70s Swedish Rock influences (think November or Nationalteatern) with an urgency and honesty that speaks directly to the present.
Orkan‘s sound is a Psychedelic clash of Rock and resistance, where swirling riffs meet raw instrumentation and lyrical sharpness. Having released their debut album via Alleycat Records, followed by “Livsgaranti” and an EP through Gamlestans Grammofonbolag, Orkan now take full creative control with their upcoming release on Blåsväder Records.
