French Ambient/Post-Rock band Rise of Mercury have unveiled the official video for the single “Sanctuary” taken from their upcoming EP, “Pathfinder,” set for release on February 20, 2026.

Composed of Yvan Guérin (vocals/guitar) and Vincent Bouzard (synths/bass/machines), Rise Of Mercury takes a complete detour from the Metal-tinged Alternative Rock of their 2022 album. Instead, they present atmospheric and melancholic ballads, a remarkable feat given that their Post-Rock and ambient foundation is enhanced by a verse-chorus structure reminiscent of Folk or even Pop. Here, emotions are inevitably amplified as this delicate, tremulous voice rests upon picked guitar notes, atmospheric synths, and minimalist beats. This EP is about reconnection and introspection, with songs that resemble tales, metaphorically addressing various mental health issues and drawing inspiration from authors like Herman Hesse and Paulo Coelho. Are we in the right place in this world? That is the underlying question.
